Prepare to learn about the cutting edge of spectrum and wireless technology with the inaugural “Spectrum Sizzle” Workshop! This residential workshop is specifically designed for undergraduate Electrical or Computer Engineering majors, and attendees will get hands-on experience with and learn about the latest spectrum and wireless technologies: an area rich with career, graduate education, and research opportunities. Participants will experience the following during the workshop:
- Spectrum Policy, Proceedings, and Rule-Making
- Passive Wireless Systems, Spectrum Analysis, and Frequency Allocations
- Communication Systems, Modulation, and Coexistence
- Wireless Circuits
- Radar Systems
- Panel Sessions: Spectrum Careers, Graduate School, and Work/Life
- On-Campus Transmitter Hunt
Held June 5-8, 2023, on the campus of Baylor University in Waco, Texas, the workshop is sponsored by a conference grant from the National Science Foundation. Registration is free and on-campus food and housing costs of accepted students will be covered by the grant during the workshop.
